Hambry Media builds and operates local news publications in cities and regions across the United States where the newspaper's newsroom has closed or shrunk to a shell, alongside a small number of subject-focused titles. Each publication is a separate title with its own name, domain, and masthead; readers in one market never see another market's brand.
How a publication is made.
Coverage begins with public sources: city and county agendas and minutes, police and court records, school board materials, local business filings, community calendars, and regional wire and public feeds. Every article is reviewed by an editor before publication and carries a byline, a timestamp, and a category; every publication carries the same corrections policy on its own site.

Where the standards say we do something, that is what our publications do; where they say we do not, that is a line we do not cross.
Every publication we publish carries these standards on its own site, under its own name.

- Every article passes editorial standards set and enforced by our editor before it goes live.
- We do not publish fabricated quotes.
- We correct errors.

Hambry Media is published by Hambry, LLC, an independent company based in Orange County, California. It was founded and is operated by its publisher, with editorial oversight on every title.
We started with a simple observation: the cost of running a local newsroom had outgrown what most local markets could pay for, and hundreds of communities had lost daily coverage as a result. Modern production tools change that arithmetic. Hambry Media exists to put a working local publication back into markets that lost theirs, held to standards written down and published where anyone can read them.
